Panko fried asparagus with sea salt, malt vinegar and lemon.

Oh, and some Brussels sprouts for good measure...

Okay, I really am trying to understand why it is that southerners feel the need to bread everything and panfry or deepfry it afterwards. Is there a rational explanation? Please help.

Adding brussels sprouts is wrong in so many ways.

(I love hush puppies but I'm picky about where I'll order them. Golden Corral, um, no.)

Haha, it's true Cheryl. People in the South like to fry up some shit. Fortunately, I stick to vegetables and fish for the most part. I'm not one of those nut jobs that fries up Milky Way bars, butter or bacon...
